Bryan Oviedo feeling "fantastic" ahead of second return

Bryan Oviedo insists that he is ready to return for Everton after having a screw taken out of his leg earlier in the month.

Everton full-back Bryan Oviedo has insisted that he is fully prepared to return to action again after having a procedure on his leg earlier this month.

The Costa Rican made his Premier League comeback in the loss to Manchester United on October 5 after breaking his leg in January, but he has been out of action since having a screw removed from his leg a few days later.

However, Oviedo claims that the procedure has had the desired impact, and he is hopeful of becoming a key figure in Roberto Martinez's side as soon as possible.

"I feel much better right now after I've had the screws taken out," the 24-year-old told members of the media. "It's fantastic because before they stopped me when I ran but now I feel much better and I hope to be ready for the next games. Now I want to play.

"Sometimes it's difficult when you come back from a long injury, but at the moment I feel very good and I hope to play as quickly as possible."

Everton host Swansea City at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.
