Report: Thievy Bifouma wants La Liga stay

A report claims that Espanyol forward Thievy Bifouma wants to remain in La Liga despite contact from Rennes.

Espanyol forward Thievy Bifouma reportedly wants to remain in La Liga despite strong interest from French outfit Rennes.

The 21-year-old admitted last week that he had been in contract with Rennes, while it is thought that Malaga have also registered their interest in the Frenchman.

However, according to Marca, Bifouma, who has been a bit-part player for Espanyol this season, is keen to remain in Spain after settling with his family.

It is understood that Espanyol value the attacker in the region of £2.5m.
