England manager Roy Hodgson has reportedly decided to drop Jack Wilshere from tonight's starting lineup against Montenegro.
The Arsenal midfielder was hoping to start in the Three Lions' penultimate World Cup qualifier, but widespread reports have claimed that Hodgson will opt for Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in the middle of the park.
Despite Wilshere's recent off-field controversy when he was spotted smoking outside of a nightclub last week, it is understood that the omission is down to his recent performances for the Gunners, according to the Daily Star.
After England take on Montenegro, they will play their final qualifier against Poland four days later.
