Roy Hodgson: 'Harry Redknapp can say what he wants in his book'

Roy Hodgson says that he takes no offence to Harry Redknapp's criticism of the FA during their process of finding a new England manager.

England manager Roy Hodgson has insisted that he does not feel offended by any comments made by Harry Redknapp regarding his position within the Three Lions setup.

The Queens Park Rangers boss stated in his autobiography that he would not "trust" the Football Association to pick the right England boss after he was snubbed in favour of Hodgson.

"I didn't see it as criticism of me," Hodgson said in a press conference. "I don't have any comment on what people say in their books.

"It is his prerogative to say what he thinks but, as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't have anything to do with me."

Meanwhile, Hodgson has insisted that midfielder Jack Wilshere has not been affected by the furore surrounding his comments regarding international eligibility.
