Jack Butland could reportedly be dropped by England as his proposed move from Stoke City to the Premier League with Bournemouth stalls.

Stoke City keeper Jack Butland faces an uncertain future with England as discussions over a rumoured move to Premier League club Bournemouth continue to stall.

The Cherries are known to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, with the 26-year-old Eddie Howe's top choice, but the South Coast club have reportedly been deterred by Stoke's valuation.

According to the Daily Mail, the Championship club are looking for £25m for the keeper, with further add-ons eventually pushing the deal to around £30m.

As such, Bournemouth are now considering alternative options like Fulham's Marcus Bettinelli, who could be available following the Cottagers' relegation last season.

England manager Gareth Southgate has said that he does not want to look at players currently plying their trade in the second tier, and while Butland was still picked last season owing to a limited number of other options, he is likely to be frozen out if a move to the Cherries cannot be secured.

A number of moves in the final weeks of the transfer window could result in a number of English keepers playing in the top flight next season, with Dean Henderson, Bettinelli and Tom Heaton all potentially starting the season with new clubs.
