Gareth Southgate will reportedly be officially confirmed as England's new manager on Wednesday.
Southgate, who was appointed interim manager following the departure of Sam Allardyce, was interviewed by a five-man panel at St George's Park last week.
The England Under-21 boss has had little competition for the position since being placed in temporary control, and according to Sky Sports News, an announcement will be made on Wednesday after an official FA board meeting.
FA chairman Greg Clarke, FA chief executive Martin Glenn and FA technical director Dan Ashworth were part of the interviewing panel, in addition to Graeme Le Saux and Howard Wilkinson.
Southgate, 46, led England to two wins and two draws during his interim spell, which arrived after Allardyce left his position with the national team just 67 days into his tenure.
