England goalkeeper Joe Hart has admitted that it was disappointing to miss out on a victory after playing out a 1-1 draw with Italy.
Roy Hodgson's side recovered from a sluggish first-half display to cancel out Graziano Pelle's opener with a powerful strike from Andros Townsend, and Hart believes that the visitors created enough opportunities to claim the win in Turin.
"It could have - and should have - been a victory. We had enough chances. [Gianluigi] Buffon is a fantastic goalkeeper. He made some big saves for them," Hart, who won his 50th cap in the draw, told Sky Sports News.
"It was promising but we want to win those games. A 1-1 is nice after being 1-0 down but we'd like to have won.
"We know there is progress. We know it every day in training. We know it with the squad, the pace, the power, the organisation that we've got. It was nice to readjust after a very disappointing first half."
England's next game will be a friendly against the Republic of Ireland in June.
