Eintracht Frankfurt pull out of Nicklas Bendtner deal

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Thomas Schaaf reveals that talks to sign striker Nicklas Bendtner have broken down.

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Thomas Schaaf has revealed that the club has pulled out of a deal to sign striker Nicklas Bendtner.

The 26-year-old Dane is currently a free agent following his release from Arsenal at the end of last season.

Despite having held talks with Bendtner and his representatives, the Bundesliga outfit are now looking elsewhere in the transfer market.

"It's true, we have made no progress. That's why we need to focus on different agendas," Schaaf told Kicker.

Aston Villa are among a handful of other clubs to have been linked with Bendtner this summer.
