Report: Swansea City want Jefferson Montero

A report claims that Swansea City are preparing a £4m move for Morelia forward Jefferson Montero.

Swansea City are reportedly preparing a £4m move for Ecuador forward Jefferson Montero.

The 24-year-old, who currently represents Mexican side Morelia, has been linked with a number of European clubs in recent weeks.

According to the Daily Mail, Montero's reported desire to seek pastures new this summer has alerted Swansea, who are preparing to make a £4m move for the striker.

Montero, who has previously played in La Liga for Villarreal, Levante and Real Betis, has scored eight times in 43 games for his country.

Swansea, meanwhile, are expected to lose Michu this summer.
