Former England international Ray Parlour has claimed that Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann is in contention for a place in the national squad.
The centre-back scored the winner for Palace against his hometown club Liverpool on Sunday as Alan Pardew's side won 2-1 at Anfield.
Dann has not been included in the squad for the forthcoming friendlies against Spain and France, and Parlour has said that the 28-year-old will have to keep up his consistent performances to force his way into manager Roy Hodgson's plans.
"There are a few people being mentioned for England," Parlour told talkSPORT.
"Scott Dann got the winning goal against Liverpool, and he's been solid. He's a good defender and he pops up with a few goals as well. So, he's got to have a chance."
Dann has scored two goals in 12 appearances for Palace this season.
