Mark Hughes wary of "very dangerous" Crystal Palace

Mark Hughes warns his Stoke team that beating the "very dangerous" Crystal Palace will prove anything but a walk in the park for his troops.

Mark Hughes has hailed Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew and warned his Stoke City side not to take the resurgent Eagles lightly on Saturday.

Palace travel to the Britannia Stadium tomorrow knowing that victory could potentially see them move 11 points clear of the relegation zone.

The Londoners sat 18th in the Premier League table when Pardew replaced Neil Warnock in January, and Hughes warns that they will prove a "very dangerous" proposition for his side.

"Alan has done a tremendous job and has managed to navigate the team away from the difficult position they found themselves in," he told Sky Sports News.

"They are a very dangerous team with a lot of quality and are arguably a more dangerous proposition for us at home than they were when we played them down in London late last year.

"They have a lot of pace on either side, as well as down through the middle too, so we will have to be vigilant of that for the duration of the game. Given the run of form they have been on they will come here in confident mood, and will be hoping to claim the three points that are on offer."

Stoke sit eighth in the table, nine points clear of 12th-placed Palace.
