Crawley Town have appointed Mark Yates as their new manager on a two-year contract.
The Red Devils had been without a boss since John Gregory departed after failing to keep the club in League One.
Yates returns to management after six months without a job following his dismissal at Cheltenham Town.
"We interviewed some very strong candidates but Mark stood out," Crawley chief executive Michael Dunford told the club website.
"He has a very deep knowledge of the level we find ourselves at next season and is a first-rate coach."
Yates was in charge of Cheltenham for just under five years between December 2009 and November last year.
