Crawley Town manager John Gregory believes that the referee made the right decision in abandoning his side's FA Cup second-round replay against Bristol Rovers.
The match at the Broadfield Stadium on Wednesday was called off after 76 minutes due to strong winds and rain that left the pitch unplayable with the score locked at 0-0.
"It was the correct decision," Crawley's official Twitter page quotes him as saying. "It should have been called off earlier.
"It was right. We could have played for another 30 minutes and that would not been possible.
"The fans who turned up tonight deserve a medal, the conditions were atrocious."
The two clubs have agreed to play the match on Saturday, January 4 but this has to be ratified by the FA.
