Half-Time Report: Hibernian two up against Cowdenbeath at Central Park

Two goals within two minutes help Hibs take control against Cowdenbeath in their Scottish Championship encounter at Central Park.

Hibernian scored two goals within two minutes against Cowdenbeath to take control in their Scottish Championship encounter at Central Park.

Franck Dja Djedje had a chance for the away side within the first minute but his half-volley sailed narrowly over the bar.

Hibs were the stronger of the two sides but struggled to create any more opportunities in the opening half-hour.

However, the deadlock was soon broken, with Fraser Fyvie and Jason Cummings both getting on the scoresheet.

Fyvie found the bottom corner with a strike from the edge of the penalty area, while Cummings capitalised on poor defending for his 13th league goal of the season.
