Seattle Sounders have missed the chance to close the gap on third-placed San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS Western Conference after a 1-1 draw at Club Deportivo Chivas USA.
Juan Agudelo headed the home side into the lead from the James Riley's centre in the 57th minute.
However, that lead did not last long, with David Estrada managing to get on the end of Alex Caskey's cross to restore parity just four minutes later.
The visitors did look the more likely to score a winner in the latter stages but they could not force one and the game ended in a draw.
