Chelsea have confirmed that goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The 41-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge from Fulham on a free transfer last summer to provide cover for first-choice stopper Petr Cech.
Schwarzer was named on the club's released list in May, but the former Australia international revealed last month that Blues boss Jose Mourinho wanted to offer him fresh terms.
"Chelsea Football Club is pleased to announce Mark Schwarzer has today signed a new one-year contract," a statement on the club's official website read.
Schwarzer made 13 appearances for Chelsea last season.
