Report: Chelsea want Diego Lopez

Chelsea reportedly want Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho bought the stopper in January while in charge of Los Blancos, and the Portuguese wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge either in the New Year or next summer, according to A Bola.

Mourinho is keen for the Spaniard to provide competition for Petr Cech, until Thibaut Courtois returns from Atletico Madrid.

The former Valencia stopper has displaced Iker Casillas as the number one as Santiago Bernabeu since signing at the beginning of the year.
