Liverpool reportedly table an offer for highly-rated Paris Saint-Germain teenager Ismael Gharbi, who has also been linked with Chelsea.

Liverpool have reportedly made an approach for Paris Saint-Germain starlet Ismael Gharbi.

The 17-year-old has been tipped as a future star of French football, but has so far been limited to just three first-team substitute appearances in cup competitions.

Gharbi is reportedly growing frustrated at his lack of progress with the Ligue 1 giants and would be willing to consider leaving his boyhood club when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The Liverpool Echo claims that Jurgen Klopp's side have already tabled an offer for the winger, which includes a clear passage through to the senior side.

However, Liverpool are expected to face competition for his signature from Chelsea, while Gharbi's preference would reportedly be to stay at the Parc des Princes if he is promised more opportunities.

The attacking midfielder has featured for just 43 minutes in total, being handed cameos in two Coupe de France matches as well as the Trophee des Champions.
