Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has insisted that Cesc Fabregas will not be sold next month.
The Spanish international has struggled to secure a regular spot in Conte's first XI this season and it has been widely reported that AC Milan want to bring the midfielder to San Siro.
Conte, however, branded Fabregas "an important player to stay in my squad" when questioned on Thursday afternoon, effectively ruling out a departure in the January transfer window.
"About Cesc, I have already replied in the previous press conference and Cesc is a good player and is an important player to stay in my squad. I want him to stay here," Conte told reporters.
Fabregas was part of the Chelsea side that recorded a 3-1 win over Manchester City last weekend, which has left the Blues three points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Sunday's clash with West Bromwich Albion.
