Chelsea will reportedly allow Bertrand Traore to join Ajax on a season-long loan after the youngster informed the club that he needs to play regular first-team football.
The 20-year-old was expected to compete for a starting spot at Stamford Bridge this coming season after scoring four times in 16 appearances last time out.
Traore spent the 2014-15 campaign at Vitesse and is now expected to spend another year in the Eredivisie, which could give Loic Remy a Chelsea lifeline.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues are no closer to signing a new big-name striker and will therefore turn to Remy to provide cover for Diego Costa and Michy Batshuayi.
Ajax are currently managed by Peter Bosz, who was manager of Vitesse during Traore's stint at the club when scoring 20 goals in 51 outings.
