Chelsea have joined Premier League rivals Arsenal in expressing an interest in Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, according to a report.
The 23-year-old, who is thought to be a £51m target for the Gunners, has yet to commit his future to the Italian champions.
It has been claimed by The Telegraph that Chelsea could themselves make an approach for Morata, while also exploring the possibility of re-signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
Chelsea are said to be desperate to land a top-class striker this summer, having relied solely on Diego Costa at times last season, and could free up some funds by selling Loic Remy.
The Blues, it is suggested, could also go in for Napoli's goalscoring ace Gonzalo Higuain, but only if they are unsuccessful with their bids for Lukaku and Morata.
Morata is expected to leave Turin ahead of next season, with Real Madrid able to purchase their former player in a £25m buy-back deal and sell him on at a larger price should they wish.
