Chelsea have drafted up a £15m deal for CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, according to reports.
The 21-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players in Russian football and is expected to play a key role for his nation in their home World Cup next summer.
Golovin was linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer but, according to The Sun, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is interested in his compatriot.
The report claims that the Blues want to conclude a deal in January and will consider allowing Golovin to remain at CSKA for the rest of the season on loan.
Failing a move next month, Chelsea reportedly want to seal the deal before the World Cup as the Russia international's stock will rise should he impress at the World Cup.
Golovin has already made 27 appearances in all competitions for CSKA this season.
