Chelsea chasing Benfica's Rodrigo?

Chelsea are reportedly one of a number of English cubs monitoring Benfica striker Rodrigo.

Chelsea are one of a number of Premier League clubs eyeing a possible summer swoop of Benfica striker Rodrigo, according to a report.

The People claims that the Blues' scouts watched the Brazilian-born striker in his side's Europa League clash with AZ Alkmaar on Thursday.

However, the 23-year-old is also thought to be attracting interest from Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, all of whom are believed to have sent representatives to the same game.

Despite an unsuccessful loan spell at Bolton Wanderers three years ago, the forward is said to be valued at around £35m, having scored 38 goals in 69 appearances for the Portuguese giants.

Chelsea's currently strike force were off target in the Blues' 3-0 win over Stoke City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
