Atletico Madrid will reportedly consider an approach for Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud in January.
Having fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, Giroud is open to joining a new club as he bids to retain his place in the France squad ahead of Euro 2020.
With the 33-year-old also having just over six months left on his contract, Chelsea are expected to be happy to listen to any offers for the frontman.
According to Diario AS, Atletico are monitoring the situation as they contemplate whether to make alterations to their attack at the midway point of the campaign.
Diego Simeone has witnessed his side net just 16 times from 15 La Liga fixtures this season, a return which has left the club in sixth position in the standings.
Crystal Palace, Inter Milan and AC Milan have also been linked with Giroud, who has made just two starts and three substitute outings in the Premier League since the arrival of Frank Lampard.
