Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte is reportedly desperate for his club to secure a deal for Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante during this summer's transfer window.
The France international struggled to show his best form for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign, while injuries restricted him to just 22 Premier League appearances.
Kante still has three years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge, but a recent report claimed that the 29-year-old could be made surplus to requirements this summer in order to fund a move for West Ham United's Declan Rice.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Conte wants Inter to move for the 2018 World Cup winner this summer, and the Italian giants are weighing up a potential loan offer with a view to a permanent transfer.
The report claims that the Serie A giants could take the midfielder on loan for the 2020-21 campaign and commit to a €50m (£44.6m) transfer at the end of next season.
Kante starred under Conte at Chelsea as the London club won the Premier League title in 2016-17, but the Frenchman is seemingly not in the long-term plans of current Blues boss Frank Lampard.
