Chelsea missed the chance to move into third position in the Premier League table as they were held to a goalless draw by Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
The result has left the Blues in fourth spot, three points ahead of fifth-placed West Ham United, who now have two games in hand over their capital rivals, while Leeds remain in 11th position.
Both teams had opportunities to make the breakthrough in the first half, with Chelsea coming close through Kai Havertz and Ben Chilwell, while the Blues also hit the Leeds crossbar when the ball bounced off Diego Llorente.
Tyler Roberts had the home side's best chance of the first period when he attempted to pick out the top corner in the 16th minute, but Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy tipped the attacker's effort onto the crossbar.
Thomas Tuchel's team had more of the ball in the opening 45 minutes, but the half-time whistle arrived with the two sides level at 0-0, leaving both managers with plenty to ponder.
Chelsea continued to dominate as the second period progressed, but opportunities were few and far between in the league affair as the points were ultimately shared.
Next up for the Blues is the second leg of their last-16 Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid on March 17 before facing Sheffield United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup four days later. Leeds, meanwhile, will continue their Premier League campaign away to Fulham on March 19.
