Reading comeback stuns Chelsea

Reading fight back from 2-0 down to snatch a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at the Madejski Stadium in the Premier League.

Reading have staged a fightback to earn at 2-2 draw with Chelsea at the Madejski Stadium in the Premier League.

Juan Mata and Frank Lampard scored either side of half time to put the away side 2-0 up, but two late goals from substitute Adam Le Fondre saw the Royals snatch a point.

The visitors were dominant in the opening half and they nearly took the lead on 30 minutes when Gary Cahill headed narrowly wide from Frank Lampard's free kick.

They eventually made the breakthrough in first-half injury time as Fernando Torres's threaded pass allowed Juan Mata to fire in on the angle.

It took Chelsea until the 66th minute to double their advantage through Frank Lampard's header from Mata's corner.

Le Fondre came off the bench to smash the ball home in the 87th minute and he earned an unlikely point for the Royals in the fourth minute of injury time with a smart volley from inside the box.
