Antonio Conte will reportedly consider taking a sabbatical from football management if he is sacked by Chelsea this summer.
The 48-year-old is expected to be given the shove by Blues owner Roman Abramovich, despite ending the 2017-18 campaign on a high by lifting the FA Cup.
A failure to finish in the top four, meaning no Champions League football next year, has left Conte living on borrowed time at the end of his second season at the Stamford Bridge helm.
If the Italian is given his marching orders in the coming days and weeks, The Telegraph suggests that he will take time out, rather than immediately joining another club, so that Chelsea will have to pay up his expensive compensation package.
Conte does not intend to step down from his position, leaving the Blues with a potential £9m bill if Abramovich pulls the trigger.
