Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hailed his players for their first-half display against Hull City on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues eventually ran out 2-0 winners after strikes from Oscar and Frank Lampard put Mourinho's side in a commanding position at the break.
The Portuguese coach said that he could not recall a first-half performance like it during his years at Stamford Bridge.
"We were too fast, too intense, too dynamic [in the first half]," Mourinho told BBC Sport.
"We had the intensity; it was a fantastic first half. I have played so many matches with Chelsea and we never played with that beautiful quality that we had in the first half.
"I tried to keep [the return] low key, The fans were fantastic, but now is the time for me to work hard and try and give them what they want and what they deserve. They need to forget about me and get behind the team and the players and create an atmosphere."
Mourinho won two Premier League titles during his first spell from 2004 to 2007.
