Norwich City boss Paul Lambert backs Fernando Torres to find his goal scoring touch again.

Norwich City boss Paul Lambert has backed Fernando Torres to come good despite a worrying lack of goals.

Torres has endured a torrid time at Stamford Bridge since joining last January for £50m from Liverpool.

The Spanish striker has looked a shadow of his former self at times and only has two goals so far this season. However, Lambert believes that the 27-year-old is not affected by his price tag and will eventually find his feet in front of goal once more.

"Would I like to have Torres? Yeah, course I would. I wouldn't bother about his price tag," said the Scottish manager.

"I know the lad's not scored for a while but he is still a top player, a brilliant footballer, a terrific striker. I don't think it's anything to do with a price tag hanging over his head.

"As long as they have got the hunger to go out and do it, it shouldn't matter how much they cost. Football is about lifting trophies. You want to win things."

Fernando Torres is expected to start for Chelsea against Norwich this weekend.
