Chelsea star Eden Hazard has claimed that it has never been an ambition of his to win the Ballon d'Or.
The trophy, which has gone back and forth between Barcelona talisman Lionel Messi and Real Madrid hero Cristiano Ronaldo of the past few years, is the most prestigious individual award in football.
Hazard has been named within the 30-man shortlist, which was announced by France Football earlier this week.
The recognition comes after the 26-year-old scored 17 goals in all competitions last season and helped Chelsea claim the Premier League title.
"It is not a goal at all," the London Evening Standard quotes the playmaker as saying. "Last year I tried to make the best season possible. It was an excellent year."
Hazard also made the shortlist in 2013, 2014 and 2015.
