Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has revealed that he is eager to impress new manager Jose Mourinho in pre-season.

The Blues will prepare for the upcoming Premier League campaign with a tour of Asia during July.

Cahill, who joined Chelsea in January 2012, is keen to catch the eye of the returning Portuguese coach.

"These matches are only friendly games and the result doesn't matter, but we all want to impress the manager and get into a winning habit as quickly as we can," Cahill told the club's official website. "If we can get that right, then hopefully we can start the season strongly."

Chelsea start the new league season against Hull City at home on August 17.
