Jose Mourinho 'wants Galatasaray clash'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that he is hoping to face Didier Drogba's Galatasaray in the next phase of the Champions League.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is hoping his side are drawn against Galatasaray in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Blues boss said that he would like to face the Turkish outfit so former Chelsea favourite Didier Drogba can return to his old stomping ground.

"He deserves a reception here, even better, he deserves it even more than me," Sky Sports News quotes Mourinho as saying.

"He deserves to get what I got against Hull City [in his first game back in charge this season]. He deserves double to three times that. I know what I felt and I think he deserves that.

"So yes - Galatasaray is difficult, very difficult but I would like Didier to be back here and to feel what I felt."

Drogba wrote himself into Chelsea folklore when he helped the club defeat Bayern Munich in the 2012 Champions League final, netting the winning penalty in a shootout with the Germans.

Chelsea booked their place in the next phase of this season's competition as Group E winners courtesy of a 1-0 win over Steaua Bucuresti on Wednesday evening.
