Frank Lampard out of Nordsjaelland clash

Chelsea's match with Nordsjaelland comes too soon for midfielder Frank Lampard.

Rafael Benitez has revealed that Frank Lampard will play no part in Chelsea's Champions League tie with Nordsjaelland tomorrow night.

The England international had been tipped to appear against the Danish club at Stamford Bridge following his appearance during this morning's training session after a spell on the sidelines.

However, Benitez has admitted that both Lampard and his teammate John Terry are not ready to make a return.

"Tomorrow's game is still too early for John Terry and Frank Lampard," Benitez told reporters.

Chelsea must defeat Nordsjaelland to stand any chance of reaching the last 16 of the competition.
