Carlisle United suspend ticket sales for home, away matches due to flood

Carlisle United announce that ticket sales for the League Two side's home and away games have been suspended due to flooding.

Carlisle United have suspended ticket sales for home and away matches due to the flood that has engulfed Cumbria.

Over the weekend, players from the League Two club offered to help members of the community affected by the aftermath of Storm Desmond.

As a result of the adverse weather conditions, Carlisle's Brunton Park has been flooded due to its close proximity to two rivers.

A statement from the club read: "As things stand, we have suspended ticket and hospitality sales for home and away fixtures - please bear with us as we put new procedures in place, in conjunction with the Football League and the clubs we are scheduled to play."

Carlisle are sixth in the league table after 20 games.
