Cardiff City 'eyeing Rangers star Josh Windass as first summer recruit'

Cardiff City reportedly line up a summer bid for Rangers midfielder Josh Windass.

Cardiff City are reportedly aiming to make Rangers midfielder Josh Windass their first summer signing.

The Gers may entertain an offer for the winger to help raise transfer funds for new manager Steven Gerrard, according to the Daily Mail.

Windass, who joined Rangers from Accrington Stanley in 2016, has scored 17 goals for the Scottish giants this term.

In January, Championship outfit Preston North End attempted to bring him south of the border but ultimately failed with their £500,000 bid.

Windass is under contract with Rangers until 2021.
