Fabio da Silva urges Cardiff City teammates to show fight

Fabio da Silva believes that Cardiff City need to start showing fight in the closing stages of the season.

Fabio da Silva has urged his Cardiff City teammates to show fight as they look to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Cardiff are currently 19th in the table with eight games remaining but Fabio, who moved to the club from Manchester United in January, believes that it is important to not look too far into the future despite their precarious position.

"What we all have to ask ourselves individually is, 'what can we bring to the fight'?" the 23-year-old told the South Wales Echo.

"We have to give our all as individuals and as a team to ensure we stay in the Premier League. It doesn't matter who we are playing against when it gets to this stage.

"We need points and every match is an opportunity. We must not look too far ahead."

Cardiff take on Liverpool in the Welsh capital on Saturday afternoon.
