Stoke City and Cardiff City have both reportedly identified former Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf as a target ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave Hannover on a free transfer at the end of the season after talks over a new deal with the German club failed to produce an agreement.
According to talkSPORT, Stoke manager Mark Hughes is believed to be interested in securing Diouf's services as he looks to add to his attacking options ahead of the next campaign.
However, Cardiff could be prepared to battle Stoke for the Senegalese forward but an offer from the Welsh club could depend on whether they avoid relegation.
