Cardiff City boss Russell Slade has revealed that the decision to allow Kenwyne Jones to join Bournemouth on loan was for "financial" reasons.
The Trinidad and Tobago international moved to the Cherries until the end of the season, following in the footsteps of Matthew Connolly to leave the Bluebirds as he departed for Watford last week.
Slade told Wales Online: "Similar to the Connolly deal. It's a financial decision really. We are not going up or down at this stage so in financial terms, it made sense for us.
"It is not a footballing decision but I would like to wish Kenwyne all the very best until the end of the season at Bournemouth."
Jones has netted 13 goals in all competitions for Cardiff this season.
