Burnley manager Sean Dyche has claimed that comments in the match programme encouraged his side prior to the 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers.
A piece profiling Burnley suggested that the visitors were "in desperate need to rediscover their early-season form" and Dyche admits that he was confused by the claims.
"It's a local derby, it means something beyond just a result and then the programme gives you fuel as well," Dyche told reporters.
"I must make this clear that can't win you a game but it gives you a little bit of fuel added on top of that. You already want to win because it's a local derby, it means a lot, it's a big game; so I thought that was interesting."
Dyche's side are currently second in the Championship.
