A brace from Brandon Borrello guided the Brisbane Roar to a 2-0 victory over the Central Coast Mariners in their A-League clash on Sunday.
The home side threatened in the early stages of the match when Corona raided down the left and sent a low cross into the box where Thomas Broich steered the ball at goal, but Liam Reddy tipped the ball over the bar.

Brisbane took the lead in the 14th minute when the visitors failed to clear a loose ball in the box and Matt McKay played a pass to Borrello, who fired a volley past the outstretched hand of Reddy into the net.
The Mariners responded when Harry Ascroft played the ball into the path of Roy O'Donovan who fired a low strike towards the bottom corner, but Michael Theo got down to make the stop.
Jamie Maclaren should have doubled the Roar's lead in the 34th minute when Borrello laid the ball into his path four yards from goal, but he sent his strike past the post.
In the second half, Maclaren atoned for his error when he created his side's second goal as he beat two defenders down the left before teeing up Borrello to fire home from seven yards.
Central Coast pushed to get back into the match and got a goal back late in the game as Fabio Ferreira raided into the box and cut the ball back for Josh Bingham to turn the ball home.
However, Brisbane held out for the three points to secure their second win of the season.
