Half-Time Report: Jota, Alex Pritchard put Brentford ahead against Reading

Goals from Ramallo Jota and Alex Pritchard put Brentford 2-0 up against Reading at Griffin Park.

Brentford look set to leapfrog Reading in the Championship as they lead the Royals 1-0 at Griffin Park.

Reading were the livelier in the opening minutes with Hal Robson-Kanu and Nick Blackman combining well, forcing a stop from David Button.

The goal came on the 12th-minute mark as Ramallo Jota was quickest to a loose ball, slotting home after a deflected cross from the right.

Jota almost doubled his tally moments later after another deflected ball sent him through only for the alert Adam Federici to make a good save.

Brentford doubled their lead on 32 minutes when Aaron Kuhl was robbed of possession, allowing Alex Pritchard to convert ruthlessly.
