Bournemouth release seven players

Ian Harte is among seven players to be released by Bournemouth following the club's promotion to the Premier League.

Newly-promoted Bournemouth have released seven players ahead of their first season in the Premier League.

Former Republic of Ireland and Leeds United defender Ian Harte is the most notable name on the list of those to leave the club.

Josh McQuoid, Benji Buchel, Joe Partington, Mohamed Coulibaly, Miles Addison have also been released, while Darryl Flahavan has opted to end his spell at Dean Court.

"It's always difficult when you have to make decisions about players' futures, especially when they have done so well for us over a long period of time," boss Eddie Howe told the club's official website. "This is the heartbreaking part of the job because we are losing some very good people and some fantastic characters."

Bournemouth clinched the Championship title last weekend with a 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic.
