Mark Davies scores early on to give Bolton Wanderers a half-time lead over Ipswich Town.

A sixth-minute goal from Mark Davies has given Bolton Wanderers a first-half lead against Ipswich Town.

Bolton got a flying start and were ahead after just six minutes, Mark Davies picking the ball up on the edge of the box and finding the bottom corner.

Bolton continued to press and Chris Eagles tested Stephen Henderson with a drive in the 25th minute.

The half became a bit scrappy with both sides giving away sloppy fouls and neither created many opportunities.

The goal was to be the only one of the half as Bolton held a 1-0 lead into the break.
