Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy reportedly opts for a move to Championship side Blackburn Rovers when his contract ends later this month.

Danny Murphy has decided on a move to the Championship and is to undergo a medical at Blackburn Rovers, according to Sky Sports News.

The 35-year-old playmaker's contract with Fulham expires at the end of this month and he is believed to have chosen Rovers as his next destination.

If the deal is concluded, Murphy is likely to play a key role in Blackburn's push for promotion straight back to the Premier League.

Queens Park Rangers were thought to be interested in bringing the former Liverpool man to Loftus Road but it seems that he has chosen a move to Ewood Park.
