Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is reportedly contemplating making an offer to Cardiff City for Anthony Gerrard.
The Bluebirds are believed to be open to offers for the defender, who has been deemed surplus to requirements by boss Malky Mackay.
That news has alerted Kean as he looks to replace Premier League-bound Scott Dann, according to Sky Sports News.
The 26-year-old rejoined Cardiff last summer following a season-long loan spell with fellow Championship side Hull City.
It has been said that Cardiff will demand at least £2m for the player's signature.
