Marlon King scores a brace for Birmingham to give them a narrow win over Doncaster.

Marlon King's second-half brace gave manager Chris Hughton an early birthday present as Birmingham just edged out Doncaster Rovers at St Andrews this afternoon.

After a goalless first period which saw the home side create the better of the chances, the game burst into life in the second.

Dean Saunders's side took a surprise lead five minutes into the second half when Marc-Antoine Fortune ran on to Brian Stock's precise through ball and slide past Boaz Myhill.

The lead only lasted 12 minutes as Marlon King gave the home fans something to cheer by rounding Carl Ikeme to equalise.

King completed the comeback with two minutes to go, finishing from Chris Burke's pass to give the Blues a deserved win.

Doncaster remain three points off the foot of the table while Hughton, who turns 53 tomorrow, sees his side climb a place to 13th.
