Birmingham are out of the Europa League, despite their 1-0 win at home to NK Maribor.

Birmingham City's 1-0 win at home to NK Maribor has not been enough to keep them in the Europa League.

Brugge's draw with Braga in Group H's other match has meant that the Belgian side will enter Friday's draw.

The Blues were ahead at the break after Adam Rooney planted a simple header into the net following Nathan Redmond's inviting cross on 25 minutes.

City continued to press after the break, with the presence of Nikola Zigic causing the Maribor defence a number of problems.

They came closest to doubling their lead in the final five minutes when Redmond's half-volley crashed back off the post.
