Monaco plot Antoine Griezmann move?

Antoine Griezmann is Monaco's number one target to replace James Rodriguez, according to a report in France.

Monaco have reportedly made Antoine Griezmann their number one target to replace James Rodriguez.

Colombia international Rodriguez's departure from the Stade Louis II was confirmed this afternoon, with the 23-year-old having signed a six-year contract at Real Madrid.

Head coach Leonardo Jardim has already turned his attention as to who will succeed Rodriguez in the attacking role, and he has decided that Griezmann is the best candidate, according to L'Equipe.

The report adds that talks have already taken place between officials from Monaco and Real Sociedad regarding the France international's availability.

Aside from Griezmann, Galatasaray's Wesley Sneijder and Bayern Munich playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri are said to be targets of Jardim.
