Barcelona will look to seal the signing of Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann this weekend, according to a report.

Barcelona will reportedly seal the signing of Atletico Madrid attacker Antoine Griezmann before the end of the weekend.

Griezmann recently revealed that he would be leaving Atletico this summer in search of pastures new after five years with the Madrid giants.

Barca are considered to be the favourites for the France international, who will see his £173m release clause drop to £104m at the start of July.

A number of other clubs have also been credited with an interest in Griezmann, but it does appear that the Spanish champions will seal a move for the versatile attacker.

According to Marca, Griezmann's lawyer Sevan Karian will head to Spain this weekend to meet with Barca officials with a view to confirming the transfer.

Griezmann has scored 21 times in all competitions for Atletico during the 2018-19 campaign, including 15 in La Liga.
